Wireless power transfer using 94 GHz millimeter wave

Using millimeter wave (94GHz), we study on high power density rectenna.

Optical energy transmission using phase conjugate light (PCL)

The goal of this research is to generate high power phase conjugate light for space debris removal and wireless optical energy transmission.

Phase conjugate light has unique features such as auto-tracking, pointing, and wavefront correction properties. Those features enable sending high power laser to a remote moving target without complex calculations or mechanical control. The applications of the research is to develop a system that deorbits small space debris by focusing high- power phase conjugate light and generating laser ablation which gives momentum to the debris. Another application is to send optical power to an airplane which can fly as long as the laser sent from a ground-based phase conjugator irradiates the airplane.

Micro aerial vehicle flight using microwave power supply

A research & development of the system that tracks a flying micro aerial vehicle and provides propulsion power to it using microwave.

The objects include the circuit and antenna designs of the transmitter, receiver and tracking subsystem and the integration of these subsystems.

Mid-range power transmission using strongly coupled resonance

A research of the system that makes electormagnetic inductance technology more efficient in a mid-range by introducing the "strongly-coupled resonance" to it.

The main applications include power supplies to sensors in a car or an air plane and mobile devices in an office or a home.
